Public Art Projects Currently in Progress
Public art projects are managed by Metro Arts staff following a process outlined in the Public Art Guidelines. Artworks may be purchased or commissioned using the one or a combination of recruitment and selection methods approved by the Commission. For commissioned artworks, it typically takes 2-3 years from project inception to installation of a site-specific artwork. The community-informed process results in a permanent artwork for the city's collection for all to enjoy. The process can be briefly outlined in ten steps, though the steps and order vary from project to project.
