Coffee/Talk with Metro Arts is our monthly community gathering where artists, neighbors, and those looking to get involved in the Nashville arts scene can connect and share their stories. Learn about upcoming projects and opportunities, and meet the people creating exciting new art in Nashville.

 

The first of two March 2025 Coffee/Talks with Metro Arts will be Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 9:30–11:00 a.m. Continuing to expand the Coffee/Talk program with venues and art, we are co-hosting this round with Nashville Glasshaüs at 483 Craighead St, Nashville, TN 37204. This edition of Coffee Talk with Metro Arts will feature new ideas and programs from those who attend who wish to share. In addition, there will be several featured artists and staff at Nashville Glasshaüs, including Wyatt Maxwell (Founder), Paul Nelson (Head of Glass), Juliana Maxell (Curator of Maxwell Gallery), sharing updates about their various programs with the hot shop and more. There will be a tour of the gallery, the hot shop working space, and the café in the front of the building.

 

There is free parking beside the Nashville Glasshaüs building.

There will be free drip coffee for everyone who joins, and there are other refreshments on site for purchase too.

The second March 2025 Coffee/Talk with Metro Arts will be Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 9:30–11:00 a.m. Continuing to expand the Coffee/Talk program with venues and art, we are co-hosting this round with LeQuire Gallery & Studio at 4304 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, 37209. This edition of Coffee Talk with Metro Arts will feature new ideas and programs from those who attend who wish to share. In addition, LeQuire Gallery & Studio, led by Director, Elizabeth Cave, will be sharing updates about their upcoming events including Amber Lelli's current solo exhibition, with comments from the artist about the new work and its inspiration —  a 28-ft suspended sculpture she created for the new Donelson Library in partnership with Metro Arts Nashville.  Cave will also brief us on Sculptor, Alan LeQuire’s upcoming solo show for the Nashville Parthenon. LeQuire’s exhibition represents the first time the Parthenon has ever invited an artist to exhibit on both floors of the Parthenon, as well as outdoors. Guests will be able to view Lelli’s new work and preview LeQuire’s.

There is free parking in front of the building and down the east side. Additional street parking is available behind the gallery.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
