Below, please find our most-requested documents for artists and arts organizations partnering with Metro Arts.
The Thrive Program for FY25 introduces new requirements to comply with state and local policies. Applicants who are not Tennessee 501c3 nonprofit organizations must partner with a fiscal agent to receive funding. Thrive applicants who partner with a fiscal agent must include a Letter of Fiscal Agency, a Letter of Agreement, and a Disbursement Schedule with the application in Submittable. Read more information about Fiscal Sponsorship in this FAQ.
Thrive Fiscal Sponsor Resource Guide: This list includes nonprofit organizations that have indicated to Metro Arts that they are potentially willing to serve as a fiscal sponsor/fiscal agent for Thrive projects. The list contains information about each organization, and a contact person. This document was last updated on 2/4/2025. If you are looking at it on a later date, feel free to contact arts.grants@nashville.gov to inquire as to whether there are any updates to the list.

Fiscal Agent Applicant Email Template: Thrive applicants can use this template to contact nonprofit organizations to serve as fiscal sponsors. This is a template that you can use as is or edit to make your own.
Letter of Fiscal Agency: The fiscal agent will complete this form to confirm their willingness to serve as the fiscal agent for the artist.
Letter of Agreement: This agreement outlines the roles and responsibilities of both parties (the artist and the fiscal agent), including fund disbursement, reporting, administrative fees, and other logistics. This Letter of Agreement is a template and should be completed by the artist and the fiscal agent together. Completing the Letter of Agreement will help make sure everyone understands and documents what is being agreed upon. This is provided as a resource to help ensure a successful partnership. This agreement is between the artist and the fiscal agent, but Metro Arts staff are able to answer any questions that applicants or fiscal agents have.

Disbursement Schedule: The Letter of Agreement referenced a disbursement schedule. The artist and the fiscal agent should agree on the disbursement schedule for when the artist will receive funds. Thrive grants will be disbursed in one 100% payment to the fiscal sponsor after the contract is completed. The artists and the fiscal agent should decide if the artist will receive 100% of the grant funds immediately or if a different schedule is preferred (i.e., two 50% installments). This is for the artist and the fiscal agent to decide, based on project needs and preferences.
