Arts Build Communities Grants from the Tennessee Arts Commission

Applications are open now through July 1, 2022 for the Tennessee Arts Commission's Arts Build Communities (ABC) grants. The ABC grant program is designed to provide support for arts projects that broaden access to arts experiences, address community quality of life issues through the arts, or enhance the sustainability of asset-based cultural enterprises.

ABC Grants provide up to $3,500 per organization, are funded by the Tennessee Arts Commission through sales of specialty license plates, and are allocated in Nashville-Davidson County by Metro Arts.

Middle- and high-school girls from Adventure Science Center STEM programs contribute to Emily Sue Laird's Eureka, a fractal mural that reacts to different types of light and showcases the nuances of the visible light spectrum. This project was supported by an Arts Build Communities grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission, administered by Metro Arts, in 2018.

Davidson County 501c3 nonprofit organizations and government entities are encouraged to apply for Arts Build Communities grants. Find links to the ABC Grants application, guidelines and tutorial on the Grants page of the Metro Arts website.
